PAPUA - Amidst the lush green hills of Papua, a heartwarming scene unfolded in Faankario Village. Hundreds of bright-eyed elementary school children eagerly participated in Marching Regulations (PBB) training conducted by Task Force Yonif 501/BY. Under the scorching sun, TNI soldiers patiently and warmly guided the children through flag-raising procedures, proper salute techniques, and the deeper meaning behind Indonesia’s national symbols. Laughter and enthusiasm filled the air as the children looked up to the soldiers with admiration, as if they had just met real-life heroes.

"We want Papuan children to grow into a strong, disciplined, and patriotic generation, " said Commander of Task Force Yonif 501/BY, his voice full of determination. "Through this activity, we hope they understand the importance of unity, togetherness, and appreciating the sacrifices of our national heroes."

More Than Just Training – Strengthening Bonds Between TNI and the People

This initiative went beyond just physical training. It served as a bridge of friendship between the TNI and the Papuan community, especially the children. "I’m so happy to learn how to march with the soldiers!" said one enthusiastic elementary school student, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "Now I know how to respect the flag and love Indonesia even more!"

Meanwhile, Commander of Koops Habema, Major General TNI Lucky Avianto, emphasized that this activity was about more than just marching—it was about shaping the character of the next generation.
