PAPUA - sudden wild boar attack caused panic among residents of a village in Maybrat, Papua. In this life-threatening situation, Airborne Soldiers of Yonif 501/BY Satgas Koops Habema responded swiftly, rescuing residents from the ferocious animals on Saturday, February 29, 2025.

The terrifying incident unfolded when a group of wild boars charged into the village, attacking unsuspecting residents. The distress call was immediately received by Serda Edy Siswanto and his team, who wasted no time in evacuating the villagers to safety.

With precision and urgency, Yonif 501/BY soldiers swiftly moved the residents, especially women and children, away from danger. The troops also worked together to drive the wild boars away, preventing further chaos.

"Our priority is the safety of the residents. As soon as we received the information, we moved quickly to evacuate them to a safer place and prevent any further harm, " said Lieutenant Colonel Inf Yakhya Wisnu A., S.Sos., M.Han., Commander of Task Force Yonif 501/BY.

Thanks to their fast and coordinated efforts, no lives were lost in the attack. Residents who suffered minor injuries received immediate medical treatment from the Yonif 501/BY health team.
