PAPUA - Laughter and joy filled the air in Wombru Village, Sinak District, Puncak Regency, as the local market turned into an unexpected celebration. It wasn’t a festival or a special event—it was the heartwarming surprise from soldiers of the TNI Pintu Jawa Post, who arrived on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, with a mission: to support the hardworking Papuan farmers by purchasing all their produce.

"It felt like a blessing from the heavens! The TNI gentlemen bought everything—vegetables, tubers, fruits—completely sold out!" exclaimed Mama Dina, one of the farmers, her face beaming with happiness.

Beyond Shopping: A Mission to Empower Local Farmers

The initiative was not just about buying produce, but a statement of solidarity and support for local farmers. Letda Inf Risal, Commander of Pintu Jawa Post, emphasized that this was part of the TNI’s ongoing efforts to uplift the community.

"We want to encourage the mothers to keep farming with passion. Their produce is amazing—fresh, organic, and natural. By supporting them, we’re also helping strengthen the local economy, " he explained.

The market scene was a beautiful fusion of military discipline and community warmth. Soldiers carefully selected fresh vegetables, vibrant fruits, and locally grown tubers, engaging in friendly conversations with the sellers along the way. Laughter and stories were exchanged, turning the market into a place of unity and shared happiness.

New Hope for the People of Sinak

"Thank you, Bapak TNI! Everything is sold out—we’re so happy!" Mama Dina cheered, echoed by other women who nodded enthusiastically, their smiles filled with gratitude.

Meanwhile, Pangkoops Habema, Major General TNI Lucky Avianto, highlighted that this initiative was a testament to the TNI’s commitment beyond security efforts.

"This is proof that the TNI is not just here to maintain security, but also to ensure the well-being of the people. That day, Pintu Jawa Market became a silent witness to happiness and new hope for the farmers of Sinak District, " he stated.

Under the Papuan sun, the market stood not just as a place of trade, but as a symbol of togetherness—where the hands that once held weapons also carried the fruits of the people’s hard work, lifting spirits and strengthening bonds.
