PAPUA - In Sinak Village, a remote area on the Indonesia-Papua New Guinea (RI-PNG) border, new hope has illuminated the faces of the local residents. On Monday (10/3/2025), the Sinak Post of the RI-PNG Mobile Border Security Task Force Yonif 700/WYC Koops Habema opened its doors wide to provide free medical treatment to those in need.
Led by Second Lieutenant Ckm Akbar, a dedicated Danton Kes (Health Platoon Commander), the soldiers swiftly attended to villagers suffering from various health conditions.
More Than Medical Treatment—Delivering Hope
In a border region with limited healthcare access, every smile and warm touch from the soldiers became a remedy of its own. Faces that were once pale and weary slowly began to radiate hope and gratitude.
Beyond providing medical assistance, Second Lieutenant Akbar and his team also educated the villagers on essential health practices, including proper handwashing techniques, the importance of balanced nutrition, and other healthy living habits.
"Our post is always open to residents in need of medical assistance, " said Second Lieutenant Akbar sincerely. "We aim to be part of the solution—offering care, attention, and support to the people living in the border area."
Pangkoops Habema: Task Force 700—Heroes of Humanity
Meanwhile, Pangkoops Habema Maj. Gen. Lucky Avianto emphasized that this initiative was more than just free medical treatment—it was a symbol of compassion and unity.
"Amidst the challenges, the soldiers of Task Force 700 stand as humanitarian heroes, bringing hope and easing the burdens of the community, " he stated.
"Every drop of medicine given, every smile shared, and every piece of advice offered is a true testament to their dedication to the nation and its people."
Through efforts like these, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) continue to demonstrate that their presence is not just about securing borders but also about caring for and serving the communities in remote areas that need them most.
