PAPUA - In Dal District, Nduga Regency, Papua Mountains, a melodious sound began to echo. Not the sound of gunfire, but the harmony of musical instruments played with enthusiasm by local children.
Under the guidance of the Yonif 432 Koops Habema Task Force, these children spent their afternoon practicing music, preparing for a special performance at their school on Friday (7/3/2025).
Inside a modest post hut, the children eagerly learned to play religious and national songs. Their eyes sparkled with excitement, their tiny fingers gracefully pressing the piano keys and plucking the guitar strings. Amidst their limitations, they found joy and hope through music.
This activity was led by Second Lieutenant Bayu Tri Nugraha, S.Tr.Han., who paid great attention to the children's development. For him, music is not just entertainment but also a universal language that unites hearts and brings new spirit.
"We want to give these children the opportunity to develop their talents, " said Second Lieutenant Bayu. "Music is a beautiful way to express emotions and build self-confidence."
Yet, this was more than just a music lesson. It was a symbol of friendship, hope, and progress. Amid the challenges faced, the Yonif 432 Task Force and the Nduga community came together, building a bridge of peace through music.
Meanwhile, Pangkoops Habema Major General Lucky Avianto emphasized that through music, hope and prayers unite as one goal—for peace and a better life in Papua.
Every note played is a hope for a brighter future.
Every melody sung is a prayer for peace in the land of Papua.
And every smile on the children's faces is proof that hope still exists and will continue to bloom.
