PAPUA - In a heartfelt effort to improve the nutrition and welfare of children in the Papua region, Task Force Yonif 732/Banau, under Koops TNI Habema, conducted a meaningful social initiative by distributing free food and milk to children in Beoga District, Puncak Regency, on Saturday, July 5, 2025.

The event took place in front of the Yonif 732/Banau Task Force Post in Beoga, where dozens of children eagerly lined up to receive food and milk. Their joyful expressions reflected the significance of the aid, as many children in the remote regions of Papua rarely have access to such basic nutritional support. The event was filled with the sound of happy laughter as the children, dressed in simple clothing, received the nutritious packages from TNI soldiers, who greeted them warmly with smiles and encouragement.

For these children, ready-to-eat meals and milk are luxuries that are not part of their daily routine. Hence, the arrival of the TNI with direct assistance was a moment of immense importance to both the children and the local community.

Parents and traditional leaders in the area expressed deep gratitude, hoping that similar initiatives could reach more villages in need. "We are extremely thankful for the TNI's presence and care, " said one of the local leaders. "This support is truly needed, and we hope it continues to reach other areas in Papua."

According to the Task Force Commander, this initiative is part of a broader territorial development program aimed at strengthening ties between the TNI and local communities, while also fostering the growth of Papuan children into healthy, educated, and capable individuals.

“We are here not just as security forces, but as members of the community who care deeply about the future of the Papuan children, " said Letkol Inf Muh. Nurul Chabibi, the Task Force Commander. “It’s our duty to ensure they grow strong and healthy, with the support they need to thrive."

In supporting this effort, Maj. Gen. TNI Lucky Avianto, the Commander of Koops TNI Habema, emphasized the military's ongoing commitment to the well-being of the Papuan people. “What the Yonif 732/Banau soldiers have done here is a testament to the TNI's conscience. We stand with the Papuan people, particularly their children, ” he remarked. “The smiles we see on their faces and the nutrition we provide are invaluable markers of success. The TNI’s role in Papua extends beyond sovereignty; we are here to ensure every Papuan child has the chance to grow up healthy, educated, and competitive."

The initiative is seen as a powerful demonstration of the TNI’s role in not only ensuring national security but also contributing to the social and economic well-being of the people they serve. This program is more than just a distribution of food it represents an investment in the future of Papua, planting the seeds of hope and resilience among its youngest generation.

Through activities like this, it is hoped that the TNI will continue to foster deeper connections with the Papuan community, helping to build a healthier, stronger, and more competitive generation for the future.
