YAHUKIMO - In a heartfelt mission to bridge the distance between military and civilian life, the RI-PNG Mobile Border Security Task Force (Pamtas), Battalion 1 Marines, carried out a social outreach operation in Kampung Bruto, Dekai District, Yahukimo Regency, on Thursday (June 5, 2025).

The initiative, filled with warmth and sincerity, was part of the Marine Corps' territorial engagement efforts to foster closer ties with remote communities. In addition to open dialogues and friendship-building, Task Force personnel distributed essential supplies and basic necessities to local residents, many of whom live in isolated conditions.

“This activity reflects our commitment and concern for the people living in the deep interior of Papua, ” said Task Force Commander Lt. Col. Marinir Siswanto. “By sharing what we have and engaging in open communication, we hope to strengthen our bond as one family under the Indonesian flag. This is part of our sacred duty to the nation.”

The local community of Kampung Bruto welcomed the Marines with heartfelt gratitude. The event culminated in a joint prayer, symbolizing solidarity and a shared spirit of resilience between the TNI and the people of Papua.

Adding to the sentiment, Pangkoops Habema, Maj. Gen. TNI Luky Avianto, affirmed the TNI’s unwavering commitment to serving and supporting communities in the Papua highlands. “Building trust and contributing positively wherever we serve is a cornerstone of our mission, ” he stated.

This social action not only brought vital aid to those in need but also reinforced the enduring message of unity and peace across Indonesia's eastern frontier.
